Quirk & Bakalor

Quirk and Bakalor successfully defended its client at trial in a case brought by two plaintiffs in Supreme Court, New York County. Both plaintiffs alleged serious back injuries as a result of a having slipped and fallen while descending the stairs at our client’s facility due to an alleged defect on interior stairs. We argued that plaintiffs had not fallen on the alleged defect, relying in part on the testimony of a security guard who found plaintiffs moments after the accident at a location different from the place plaintiffs claimed they fell. After a four day trial, the jury rendered a verdict in favor of defendant.

Quirk and Bakalor partner H. Nicholas Goodman tried the case for our client.
